My brother and I grew up in a military family and have lived in every corner of this beautiful country and our dad made it a priority to show us all the natural parks and forests within driving distance of our home. When we had kids of our own we were set on giving our own children the same extraordinary opportunity to get out and see the treasures of North America.
I’m in my 50’s now and my kids are all grown. My brother – my muse for RV Mattress Queen – passed before he could enjoy our success. The memories we made together towing our tiny homes across the county are only more precious to me now. Strengthening our mission to support others find time to experience some RV joy.
We believe that an open road, endless possibilities, and the opportunity to unwind and take a break from the everyday is the best part of life.

The Origin of Our Mattresses
Here’s the irony that kept us up at night (pun intended): We chose RV life to connect with nature—to breathe clean mountain air, to escape the toxins of modern life, to live more intentionally. But then we were sleeping 8 hours a day on a mattress off-gassing chemicals in a 300-square-foot space. We were literally bringing the toxins with us.
What started as frustrated conversations around the campfire became an obsession: Could we create natural and organic RV-specific mattresses that didn’t compromise on comfort OR health?
It’s No Secret that the Downside of RV Life is Sleep Comfort
Brand new camper or 2nd hand find, nine times out of ten the mattress was less than desirable. In fact, stock RV mattresses are downright awful. A huge percentage of RV owners put a mattress replacement on the top of their post-purchase to-do list and do make that purchase.
We’ve done the same — at least three times over the years. And each time we went with what was “available” in a unique RV mattress size. Forget quality, healthful components, or custom comfort options. Just shopped on size pretty much – and felt grateful for the upgrade to our cheap low-density, chemical foam mattress imitation that felt like sleeping directly on the plywood platform.
